Problem
The member enrollment life cycle relies on a retail billing system for transfer to our enrollment site. The goal is to retire this legacy system while redistributing its functions across four platforms. Our team will restructure data and develop features to enhance the enrollment process, ensuring a seamless migration with minimal disruptions and optimized efficiency.
Context
EnrollNow was the redesign of a health enrollment system. My key contributions would include the complete redesign of 300 screens, a restructure of the system’s layout, and several iterative business tools we would implement overtime.
My role would change multiple times throughout the project as resources would have to be reallocated constantly, but the first month or so was mainly research and discovery. I played an analyst role, gathering requirements and working closely with our business clients to pinpoint problems in the system. This also involved doing mock-ups and user stories.
Two months into the project, I designed solutions for complex data problems we found, such as deep navigation and unfocused workflows. I would meet with stakeholders and clients daily to preview solutions and get feedback.
We would ship an MVP three months into the project, and I would take the role of QA to make sure every screen felt pixel perfect. This involved constant iteration and communication with our engineering team.
By the six months of the project, I focused on business features that would give our insurance agents a powerful toolset to perform their tasks better.
